Default Bots in RA!!! Grrrrrr.....

So whats the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing issue with people bringing bots into RA?

For the less observant that havnt noticed yet, there is a sudden increase in the number of Warrior riptose / heal sig / Glads defense bots in RA. I've just tried 3 RA matches and got one of them each time.

How to spot if its a bot, pretty easy really - they have bot names 80% of the time, and spam deadly riptose and healing signet from the start of the match. Also they dont respond when you CTRL-Space them and ask your team to /report the bot.

Rage Quitting >>> Being forced to play with bots. Sorry, but this is 100% true. Why should I be forced in a good group to carry a bot through 5-10 victories, or have to waste up to 10 minutes in a match because we have a bot that doesnt do anything other then spam riptose, heal sig, and Glads defense?

Pissed off with RA, ANET fix this crap game now.

I only log in like one or two times a week anymore to chat to my alliance and while I'm there click enter battle in RA.

Its just random arena

who cares about random arena...its only one of the more populated fun areas of the game requiring little to no time to get into PVP action that also has its share of new players having to pass before unlocking other parts of the pvp island

WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was jk i do care but most people probably use those exploit sites that you pay $2.95 for or whatever for a weeks access download the bots and whatever cheat is hot for the week then when someone comes on here to complain about it they get pissed off....

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FEEEEWEEEEEEEEEE

Just a guess, but doesn't it make sense there'll be more bots farming Balth faction now? Farm faction -> get Z keys -> sell keys for gold to other players -> sell gold for cash.

Before the Zkeys, there wasn't a way to convert Balth faction to gold, right? Now that there's a way, it seems only logical that bots would be going after that gold.

If this is the case, that's pretty ironic. The Z-keys bring the bots into PvP, and then the /report feature forces people to play with them. Sad and funny at the same time.

I'd rather have bots on my team instead of nubs.

Just get your team to leech report the bot. Two rounds of that and they're out for 10+ minutes, and it'll just keep extending if people consistently do it. Standing around spamming defenses sounds a lot like leeching to me, you don't have to just be idling to be a non-contributor.

@ OP

I can confirm there are indeed bots in RA. and they do come in the form of Riposte warriors.

I've sent Gaile Gray a personal PM here, but she hasn't responded.

I've sent repeated in-game reports for a month now, it's like they are not working.

Seems ANet is playing dumb on this one.

Quote:
Hi Gaile

I'm writing you because the in-game reporting methods are not working, I would like to bring your attention to a guild totally composed of advanced bots that play in RA 24/7.

I will try my best to explain how they are operating from my point of view.

They start off by joining a RA match, they are typically warriors with a very specific skillbar, Auspicious Parry, Riposte, Deadly Riposte, Healing Signet.

Before the gates are open they immediately start casting Riposte and Healing Signet and will stand still untill a enemy in radar range comes, I would imagine the bot is trying to press "c+space" repeatedely, the bot then rushes ahead of its team and starts to tank and spam its skills.
It is also known to go back and forth between allies.

I have also witnessed a human behind one of the bots which I assume hes training the bots on certain maps.

The entire bots guild is called [VV**] **guild tag partially edited**
A IGN of one particular bot is called.
**name edited**
But there are several now running in RA and it gets very fustrating having to play even harder and lose often.

Could you please look into the matter for me, the average person cannot detect that they are bots because of its advanced nature, but I know very well they are automated.

Thanks in advance.

I ran into one back during the double faction / glad point weekend ran into the warrior 3 times

I killed him over and over and over and over it actually that part was fun… Crazy use of skills timer like and jittery targeting if more then one target was close to him

Sadly it probablly does.

Honestly, I'm suspicous of these reports. It is very hard to tell the difference between a bot and just a complete idiot. He may have "bot like behavior" but some people in RA seriously are that stupid.

Anyway, if there ARE bots, what do you guys think they are doing? Zaishen chest farming would be easier with the zaishen elite and a team of 4 trapper bots.

It would still be easy for a GM to go into RA and just start floating around deleting bots. They are easy to spot. "Hi, I am a GM and I have the ability to delete your account permenantly. Respond" Boom gone.

bots have been around RA for quite awhile, they just now have shown a resurgence, I remember having a back and forth with one a few months ago, finally I guess the guy decided to pull the bot out of the match when he couldn't kill me and I wouldn't leave.

That is true but, aren't you only allowed so many points a day doing Z-Elite?

With RA you can farm points 24/7. Well of course you would have to get the keys every 10,000 faction or whatever it is but, you know what I mean.

Keys are still going for 3k right.

Pretty quick money for bots if you ask me

You are only allowed so many points a day PER account. Bot creates trial account. Bot runs z-challenge for faction for chests and reach faction limit. Get keys. Give to second bot. Create new trial account.
